-----Manifestation of Delusions-----
A truly open world; the story is driven by the player themselves and though there are major global events taking place, the decisions, directions, and overall experiences are dependent on the players themselves. There is minimal intrusion from the Administration and the player is allowed to explore the vasts reaches of his or her mind freely or, if they choose to, that of somebody else's.
Manifestation of Delusions is a story-oriented, plot-based, role play site that centers around the darker side of the human psyche and those enraptured by it. Specifically, the focus of M.o.D is placed upon those of which society deems "deranged," and the ones caught up in their lives. These are serial killers, rapists, thieves, and even those who are on the polar opposite of the spectrum. More specifically, the focus revolves around that which drives a person "insane," and keeps them in that state.
In the wake of society's dystrophy, there are those who become caught up and taken in the torrential currents stirred upward by the winds caused by the insane. These, whether innocent or otherwise, knowing or unknowing, become a part of a story much more intricate then they could, and perhaps ever would, realize. Some choose to ride these winds, others go against it, yet there are those unfortunate enough to simply be born into it.
When all is said and done, there are some cases which simply cannot be explained through human knowledge. The mere existence of Michael Myers or Jason Vorhees serve as two primary examples of these unexplainable and nightmarish enigmas that haunt the lives of men to this very day. Speculation would lead researchers to believe that something otherworldly, perhaps occult, and supernatural is at hand.
This is a story of the mind and those within,
Of Nightmares and those afflicted.

"So... your here too... guess you must have been called or whatever. By what? I don't know by what... I'm still tryin' to figure that one out myself... all I know is that somethings going on in the world... something.. weird. I cant quite explain it myself but- well listen, all that matters is that you survive. With all the craziness going on, the best thing you can do is grab yourself a gun or a knife or whatever and live to see tomorrow.
Nothings like it used to be... nothing at all... and it doesn't matter how strong you think you are, it'll get you sooner or later... in one way or another... it doesn't matter if your Bela Lugosi... Lady Gaga, James Sunderland, or Lara fucking Croft, it's all the same once it gets you and once it does... there's no getting away...
Huh? What is it?
I think you already know...."

"Psychological analysis confirms that whatever "demon," is haunting him, it's of his own personal design. One cannot simply put a face to it's name and it's forms are many, albeit singular in respects to it's origins. These characteristics are usually found in cases of extreme abuse much like the fear of men a young girl acquires when she has undergone periods of rape but also in the polar opposite.
Professional opinion; I have none. For me to say that these things can be cured medically would be a lie. No drug has the ability to exorcise one's own personal demons. It's like saying I can take a pill to relieve myself of my social anxiety. Such is just not the case.
One has to conquer these things alone, unfortunately. It's either that or simply let it fester until it eventually consumes you. That is, after all, one of the many ways the criminally insane mind is born and padded rooms are filled. We doctors can only do so much to preserve what sanity is held on to; the rest is up to the individual."

"Do I... know you? No... that face, it cant be... yes, you are the one aren't you? Listen to me... before you go onward, beware the darkness. Therein lies your adversary, the devil... and he prowls like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. No... you must not go! You will surely die and there will be none to help!
But why do you persist?
Do you not know that the demon is there? That it is in him?
What was his name; Do you remember?
Moloch...
Yes, that name... have we forgotten that name?
Moloch.
Or do we give credence to that god of old as you once did? Fear him, fear him! They cried but none listened none but you and you ran. Far away from here, you ran and your blood was spared but you did not escape... no...
For it is you! You who denies the darkness in your soul! You deny your power! And yet... your soul will come to serve him... for I can see the fear in your heart, how great it is!
You will lose your battle... for you fear blood,
The fear of blood; fear of the flesh."

"So they think I'm just a figment of your imagination? Is that what they're telling you? Oh, baby, they couldn't be so wrong. I'm more then an intangible thought; I'm the darkness lurking both inside your head and around it- the hand pulling at your feet when your asleep. I'm the weight holding you down when you suddenly wake up and cant move.
I'm real,
Would you like to see just how real I can be?
When I killed your mother and your father,
Your best friend and her cat;
When I took my fill of blood and then some and paraded it around like an act, would you dare say I'm not real?
I'm the eyes watching you from outside your bedroom window,
The sounds you hear when no one else is home,
I'm your worst nightmare but I'm more then a dream.
Oh, baby, What a lovely scar I gave you.
Do give me the pleasure of giving you another."
